ABOUT US

Glenn Anderson is serving as the 35th pastor of the First Methodist Church of Crane, Texas; appointed as such after receiving certification as a Certified Lay Minister.  Glenn, along with his wife, Michelle, have been members of the First Methodist Church since 1989.  Glenn and Michelle have been married since 1985 and have one son, Jacob, who is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and is a graduate of Sul Ross State University. 

Both Glenn and Michelle are graduates of Angelo State University and Glenn also has a master’s degree from Sul Ross State University.

Michelle and Glenn have served in many positions within Crane FMC over the past decades. They look forward to continuing serving Crane FMC, its congregants, and the Crane community in the years to come.

They are grateful for the love and support the church has offered as well as the guidance to grow in faith and move forward in ministry.

Glenn’s ministry will focus on the gifts of preaching and teaching as provided by the Holy Spirit and continue the outreach of Crane First Methodist Church through its established ministries like the Community Food Pantry and Four Days for Others as well as seeking new ministries to spread the love of Jesus Christ.

Ollie Whitaker has served as Church Secretary since 2011.  She is married to David Whitaker and has lived in Crane for more than 20 years.  Ollie enjoys helping people through her work at First Methodist Church.  She also enjoys admiring the beauty of God’s creation in the desert, plains, forests, mountains, lakes, and hills.
